I'm trying to determine how this works.  I would try to figure it out myself but am not near my rooter at the moment.

EDIT:

Alright.  You register an account and your location/WAP, register the WPA2 key, etc and it is all handled through their (Whisher) servers.  You drive around with the Whisher client open and it will tell you when you are able to connect to a Whisher AP.  The key, depending on if you are part of the group that is allowed the key, is then "securely" sent to you in some manner so that you may connect.

Whisher wants to create the biggest free wireless network ever.  It's pretty cool, you can easily change access to your wireless router to allow only buddies (with whom you can do wicked fast file transfers), to nobody, or to anyone who is a part of Whisher!  The coolest part is that you can go out and map those free wireless networks so others can find them too!
